GULFPORT, – The Gulfport Merchants Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce the relocation of its Welcome Center to a new, expansive space at 5317 Gulfport Blvd. The move represents a significant upgrade, with the new location boasting over 900 square feet compared to the current 300 square foot space on Beach Blvd.
This strategic relocation is driven by the Chamber’s commitment to better serve its growing membership and adapt to the evolving needs of the community. The expanded Welcome Center will not only fulfill the increasing demands of the Chamber but will also introduce an innovative co-working space for its members.
Chamber members can now take advantage of a co-working environment by paying a nominal monthly membership fee. This collaborative space includes shared desk areas, access to printers and copiers, and a dedicated conference room for meetings and presentations.
One of the key features of the new space is its adaptability for various purposes. In addition to serving as a hub for business activities, the Chamber envisions the new location as a versatile venue for mixers and art classes/shows for members. The dedicated space for art classes will provide local artists with an ideal setting to teach and showcase their talents.
President and CEO Sarah Laracuente expressed enthusiasm about the Chamber’s strategic move, stating, “By creating a space for not only our visitors and growing chamber needs, we are adapting to the current needs of our members we serve. This expansion aligns with our commitment to fostering a collaborative environment and supporting the diverse interests of our community.”
The Gulfport Merchants Chamber of Commerce invites the public to celebrate the grand opening of the new Welcome Center and co-working space in December 2023 once renovations are complete. The relocation marks a significant milestone in the Chamber’s journey to enhance community engagement and business development.
