Tampa, Florida, October 25, 2023 – The Crisis Center of Tampa Bay announced the non-profit organization’s Board of Directors has named Mellissa Longo, Esq. as its Chair for the 2024 financial year. The Board of Directors also named Tim Traud from Jabil as Chair Elect.
Mellissa has been a member of Crisis Center of Tampa Bay’s Board of the Directors for nearly five years. In previous years she served on the executive committee as Board Secretary and Chair Elect. She has been practicing law for over twenty years and is currently an Associate General Counsel for a national behavioral health company. Her focus has been practicing in the behavioral health arena for the last 10 years. Prior to that she served as corporation counsel for two municipal governments.
“It’s a tremendous honor to serve as the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay’s Board Chair. I’m extremely passionate about behavioral health and I’ve seen the amazing impact the organization has had on people who need help. I look forward to working with the rest of the Board and the Crisis Center leadership team to ensure that no one in our community has to face crisis alone,” said Mellissa Longo.

The Crisis Center of Tampa Bay’s Board of Directors is a group of community leaders who volunteer their time and expertise to provide strategic direction to the organization. The Board enables the organization to achieve its vision and mission by being advocates and champions of the mission, ensuring the establishment and implementation of appropriate policies and procedures, actively participating in resource development, and exercising stewardship and appropriate oversight.
