The Association of Poinciana Villages (APV) is excited to announce the return of their annual Halloween event which is sure to be a treat for the entire family. The Trunk or Treat and Fall Fest will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2023, from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. in the APV Activity Campus Parking Lot located at 445 Marigold Avenue in Poinciana.
This is the seventh year APV is hosting Trunk or Treat, which is designed for Poinciana children to enjoy a safe environment for trick or treating. As part of this event, APV residents and community partners will decorate their vehicles with a Halloween theme of their choosing and give away candy to the kids who attend. Residents and businesses who would like to decorate a trunk and supply their own candy to hand out can sign up at https://tinyurl.com/2p9hdaux.
“This event is truly sponsored by our community because without the help of our generous residents and community partners Trunk or Treat would not be possible,” said Mark Maldonado, APV General Manager. “Last year, we had 1,500 kids at this event, and we hope to see even more smiling faces this year.”
This free, family-friendly event is open to APV residents and the public. Children are encouraged to dress up in their favorite Halloween costumes so they can parade through the line of decorated vehicles and receive their treats. There will be a DJ playing music and organizing games with the kids, plus food trucks and additional vendors. Vendor space is still available. Food trucks can register here: https://tinyurl.com/y3p34mjn. Vendors can sign up here: https://tinyurl.com/4f35xwfz
After gathering their treats, event guests can visit the scary Haunted House for a $1 cash entry fee.
The event will happen rain or shine. Should wet weather become an issue, the event will be moved inside the APV Fitness Center Gymnasium and tables will be set up in place of the trunks.
The Annual Trunk or Treat is just one of the many major events APV hosts throughout the year for residents and community members. Other events include the Poinciana Beautiful Awards Gala, the Independence Day Fireworks Spectacular, and the Annual Christmas Parade & Holiday Celebration.
