The last remaining piece of the Channelside Corridor has sold in a commercial sale valued at $9,199,000. The property, located at 602 Channelside Drive, on the corner of Channelside Drive and Meridian Avenue, is an office building that was built in 2008. With the rise of the bustling Water Street district, the intersection is prime real estate in downtown Tampa with city street frontage near Amelie Arena. The sale marked the highest price per square foot for rentable area at $1127.32 ppsf.
Smith & Associates Real Estate represented both sides of the transaction. Listing agent Alexa Abbate says the premium real estate property was attractive to a wide variety of buyers looking to invest in Tampa. “This landmark property is situated in the ideal location to benefit from the increased foot traffic from Tampa’s multi-million dollar redevelopment of the area. Downtown Tampa continues to evolve as a destination for more than just work.”
The Law Office of Willaims & Trayner owned the property for almost forty-three years and will continue to practice in Ybor City.
