Bradenton, Fla. (Oct. 5, 2023) – The Office of Angelina “Angel” Colonneso, Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller for Manatee County, invites residents to dispose of personal documents, recycle electronics, and destroy old hard drives during the Fall Community Shred Day Event on Saturday, November 18, 2023, from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at Manatee Technical College, 6305 State Road 70 E.
“Our free community shredding event is to help residents securely dispose of their personal documents so that their personal information doesn’t get into the wrong hands,” said Angel Colonneso, Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller for Manatee County.
Vital Records Control (formally ShredQuick), a professional shredding company that is AAA Certified by the National Association for Information Destruction, will provide shredding services. In addition to document shredding, the Fall Community Shred Day event will provide electronic recycling and hard drive destruction services.
There is no cost for these services.

- Spiraled notebooks

- Junk mail
- Magazines
- Newspapers
- TVs
- Speakers
- Cable boxes
- TVs
Paper clips, staples, rubber bands, labels, and file tabs do not need to be removed. Participants may bring no more than four standard-sized bankers’ boxes, 12 inches by 10 inches by 15 inches in size, of documents to be shredded.
No drop-offs are accepted. All participants must remain in their vehicle with their documents and electronics until a staff member or volunteer securely places their items into a bin to be shredded or recycled.
Vital Records Control will destroy hard drives on-site.
