Tampa, Fla. – October 3, 2023 – Kareem J. Spratling, Esq., Tampa Office Managing Shareholder of Bryant Miller Olive P.A. (BMO), began term of service as Chair of the Board of Directors for Feeding Tampa Bay.
As of July 1, 2023, Spratling took the helm as Chair of the Feeding Tampa Bay Board of Directors, the largest food rescue and distribution organization in the Tampa Bay community. Spratling has a longstanding history of service with the Feeding Tampa Bay Board of Directors and the Tampa Bay community as a whole.
Feeding Tampa Bay, part of the national Feeding America network, focuses on providing food to nearly 1 million food insecure families in the 10-county area of West Central Florida. The organization is leading a movement to end hunger in Tampa Bay, and over its history has provided over 750 million meals to neighbors in need.
“Words cannot describe how grateful and honored I am to be the Chair of the Feeding Tampa Bay Board of Directors,” said Spratling. “I firmly believe in taking action to make the community in which we live, work and serve the best community that it can be. And one meal at a time, I intend to do just that.”
Spratling has over 17 years of experience as a practicing attorney focused primarily on public finance matters. He is particularly skilled in the role of bond counsel on conduit bond transactions involving nonprofit entities. He is a member of the National Association of Bond Lawyers (NABL), the Immediate Past Chairman of the NABL General Law and Practice Committee, a member of the Leadership Tampa Alumni Association, a member of the Board of Directors of the Orenda Foundation, President-Elect of the Florida State University College of Law Alumni Association Board of Directors and Former Executive Committee Member and Legal Counsel Executive Committee Member of Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce.
