WHAT: Straz Jazz Project presents Sara Elisa & Company

WHEN: Saturday, Oct. 21, 3:30 to 5 p.m. workshop; 7 p.m. concert
DETAILS: Jazz musicians and students of jazz music are invited to join Sara Elisa & Company, a dynamic family of performers who have shared their artistry in concert throughout the world in both the Jazz and Opera arenas.
During the workshop, Sara Elisa & Company will take participants through a process of how they create and collaborate in the making of their music, and the essence of the cultural inclusion in their work. She and her family, consisting of amazing composers, vocalists, and musicians, create music that is greatly influenced by the rhythm, melodic strains, and stories of Columbia and Latin migrant experiences, touching the realities of family, community, and home.
This workshop will culminate in an exciting and inspiring evening concert in the TECO Theatre at 7 p.m.
