Crews will deliver hundreds of pounds of non-perishable food on Friday, Sept. 22 at 11AM
|WHAT:||In recognition of Hunger Action Month,Good Greek Moving & Storage, the largest independent moving company in Florida and World’s First and Only Total Relocation Company, is teaming up with Move For Hunger to benefit Feeding Tampa Bay and provide thousands of meals to hungry Floridians. According to a 2021 report by Feeding America, more than 124,000 Hillsborough County residents face food insecurity, with nearly 37,000 of them being children. That number keeps growing as inflation is forcing more families to decide whether they should pay the rent or put food on the table. Here is how it will work: Good Greek will transport all collected non-perishable food items to Feeding Tampa Bay. The goods are donations from Good Greek’s clientele that have graciously set aside the food they might have otherwise thrown out in their move. Since 2009, Move For Hunger has worked with socially responsible moving companies to provide more than 28 million needed meals across the country.|
