Opera and concert audiences from the United States to the Czech Republic, from Italy to Austria, have acclaimed the beautiful voice and artistry of lyrical soprano Marina Renée Nuñez. Ms. Nuñez will appear in Tampa, at St. Clement’s Episcopal Church, on Sunday September 17, at 2 PM.
In “La Voix Humaine,” a one-woman opera written by Francis Poulenc in 1958, Ms. Nuñez is Elle, who grapples with grief, denial, and anger during an extended telephone conversation with her former lover.
Ms. Nuñez will be accompanied by noted pianist, Joshua Cessna, who is staff pianist at the University of Tampa. Mr. Cessna also performs with the Florida Orchestra, Opera Tampa, and the St. Petersburg Opera Company.
The performance will begin at 2 PM, in the church. Admission is free. Donations are welcome.
At 1 PM, in the Parish Hall, guests may enjoy fruit and cheese plates and beverages, including wine. The plates are $10. There is no charge for the beverages.
After the performance, desserts and coffee will be available in the Parish Hall, at no charge.
