TAMPA, Fla. (September 1, 2023) – HCA Healthcare West Florida Division announced today that Sally Seymour has been named chief executive officer (CEO) for HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital. Seymour has served as Interim CEO of the hospital since July 31.
“In the short time Sally has served as Interim CEO, she has already made a significant impact,” said Jyric Sims, president of HCA Healthcare West Florida Division. “I am confident she and the Bayonet Point Hospital leadership team will excel in continuing to expand the critical services this facility provides to patients in communities across Pasco and neighboring counties which include Level 2 Trauma Center, Comprehensive Stroke Center, Adult Heart Center and Statutory Teaching Hospital designations.”
Seymour brings more than 20 years healthcare experience to the role and has held leadership positions in hospitals across the west coast of Florida including Pinellas, Pasco and Charlotte counties, prior to her promotion to CEO of HCA Florida St. Petersburg Hospital in May 2022. During her tenure at St. Petersburg Hospital, she was actively engaged in a wide range of Pinellas market and hospital initiatives.
Sally began her career with HCA Healthcare in 2009 as the Director of Business Development for Community Hospital in New Port Richey. In 2013 Sally was selected to participate in the HCA Executive Development Program and joined HCA Florida Largo Hospital as Associate Chief Operating Officer (COO). In 2015 Sally was promoted to the COO at HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital and in 2018 joined HCA Florida Trinity Hospital as COO. Prior to her roles in HCA, Sally had a successful career with Pfizer Pharmaceuticals in San Francisco and Tampa.
Born in upstate New York, Sally received a Bachelor of Science in Communications from Wake Forest University and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Tampa.
Sally and her husband Oliver live in the Tampa Bay area with their son Kieran and daughter Emma.
