DAYTONA BEACH — The Central Florida Chapter of the CCIM Institute (Certified Commercial Investment Member) will present Foundations for Success in Commercial Real Estate Thursday and Friday, Sept. 14-15 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The two-day course will be held in the Hilton Room on the first floor of the Business/Hospitality Management Training Center at Bethune-Cookman University, 215 N. Lincoln St. Daytona Beach.
Senior Instructor Emeritus Blaine Strickland, CCIM will teach the course designed to provide agents, brokers, students and allied professionals with an understanding of the skills, resources and business practices that pave the way for success in commercial real estate. Through real-world case studies students will learn how to analyze leases and investment value as well as develop a plan to kick-start their careers.
Those completing the course will receive a CCIM Financial Calculator and a copy of Strickland’s book, Adapt. Eleven continuing education credits may also be achieved.
John Crossman, CCIM, president of Crossman Career Builders and CrossMarc Service and long-time advocate of diversity in commercial real estate, said full scholarships are available for B-CU students pursuing careers in real estate.
