August 31, 2023 by Post

Campgrounds will Reopen to the Public Tomorrow

The Southwest Florida Water Management District (District) has returned to normal operations after Hurricane Idalia and will lower the activation level of its Emergency Operations Center to a Level 3 at 7 a.m. Friday, Sept. 1. Level 3 activation is a general state of monitoring during the hurricane season.

District lands have reopened to the public; however, campgrounds will open tomorrow at 3 p.m.

The Oak Ridge Equestrian Area will remain closed due to wet conditions.
