Crossman Conversation Guest heads a faith-based organization that installs water systems for world regions in need

August 4, 2023 by Post

WINTER PARK. – Rick Baldocchi, founder and chairman of Agua Viva Serves, a non-profit, faith-based organization dedicated to providing water systems to underserved regions, is John’s guest on the Crossman Conversation Saturday August 5 at 1:05 p.m.

Prior to starting Agua Viva Serves, Baldocchi had been serving through missions for many years. One momentous trip about 16 years ago to Los Chiles in northern Costa Rica revealed the serious problem with water, and he has since worked tirelessly with world relief organizations and communities to make Agua Viva Serves a reality that changes lives.

Baldocchi has been a successful engineer in the Orlando area for over 34 years. He is Vice President at AVCON, Inc., a full-service engineering and planning firm serving the transportation and development industries. Expertise in providing high-quality work and solution driven services has served him well with the establishment of the non-profit.

Each self-sustaining community water project costs $50,000 and reaches over 600 people. The staff of Agua Vista Serves has specialized skills and knowledge to install water systems and then train the people to maintain it. They also help communities establish a co-op component that collects money to build up a maintenance fund.

“Listen to this conversation to learn more about this vital organization and how you can become a volunteer as an individual or with a team to work on a project. Agua Vista Serves is looking for volunteers young and old as well as corporate sponsors,” said Crossman. “Current sponsors include Morgan Stanley, Park-Maitland School and Rotary International.”

The Shepherd Radio is available on three stations, each part of the MARC Radio group. 1270 AM – WIWA in Orlando which covers the entire Central Florida area. In the Ocala/Villages area, The Shepherd is heard on 103.5 FM and 720 AM, while Gainesville listeners can hear the broadcast on 96.3 FM or 1430 AM.
