Bradenton, Fla. (August 1, 2023) – The Office of Angelina “Angel” Colonneso, Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller for Manatee County, wants over $50,000 in unclaimed funds for nearly 600 individuals to be claimed before September 1, 2023.
The monies held are from uncashed jury duty checks, overpaid court fees, vendor checks, and more.
The Clerk & Comptroller’s office encourages the public to view the list to find out if they have money owed to them. Visit https://www.manateeclerk.com/departments/clerk-accounting/ and click on Unclaimed Funds to access the list.
If someone believes they are eligible to receive funds, they need to contact Clerk’s Accounting by email at clerkaccounting@manateeclerk.com or by phone at (941) 741-4068 to learn what steps they need to take to claim their funds.
The filing deadline for unclaimed funds is September 1, 2023.
In total, $52,539.65 in unclaimed funds will be declared forfeited and transferred to the fine and forfeiture fund if not claimed by the filing deadline.
