Tampa, Florida based KinderGard announced today the (re)launch of Reaper® pepper spray after a year absence on the national self defense market. Due to a conflict of interest, the best selling pepper spray was off the market while the founders of the company worked through the sale of a related company. Now that they’re free to market the product again, the United States manufactured Reaper® pepper spray is relaunching with direct to consumer sales beginning early next week.
Reaper® pepper spray will be available on Amazon.com and direct from the manufacturer at www.KinderGard.com and shipping nationwide from Tampa, Florida.
Reaper Pepper Extract
We’ve taken an extract from some of the world’s hottest Reaper peppers, and added it into our already potent pepper spray. You’re not just hitting them with pepper spray, you’re hitting them with Reaper Pepper Spray.
UltraViolet (UV) Invisible Marking Dye
Our invisible Ultra Violet marking dye creates an invisible stain that will last long after the pepper spray is washed away, helping law enforcement positively identify your assailant. The evidence of the Reaper Pepper Spray will be exposed when the police hold up a black light to your assailant’s face. Busted.
10% Oleoresin Capsicum (OC)
This pepper spray has been adjusted to the maximum allowable strength of 10% OC. Oleoresin Capsicum is a naturally occurring substance, derived from hot peppers. This is the standard ingredient in most all pepper sprays. Your assailant will wish they had selected a softer target.
Police Strength
Personal pepper sprays can range from a low of 0.18% to a high of 3% capsaicinoids. Capsaicinoids are the chemicals which give rise to the heat of chillies in hot peppers. Most law enforcement pepper sprays use between 1.3% and 2%. Reaper Pepper Spray is 1.4%, which earns the designation of “police strength.”
