TAMPA, FL (June 5, 2023) – Registration is open for the St. Jude Walk/Run Tampa during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month at 8am ET on Saturday, Sept. 23 at Amalie Arena.
The St. Jude Walk/Run offers supporters of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® a chance to walk or run and gather in-person or virtually to raise funds and awareness for the St. Jude mission: Finding cures. Saving children.® Thanks to generous supporters, families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food, so they can focus on helping their child live. This year’s St. Jude Walk/Run series is nationally presented by Window World, Marcum Foundation, Kia and Amazon. Local St. Jude Walk/Run Tampa sponsors include Grow Financial Federal Credit Union/Grow Financial Foundation, GEICO Philanthropic Foundation and the Rays Rowdies Foundation.
For those who attend the St. Jude Walk/Run in person, there will be a family fun zone with kid friendly entertainment, hands on activities to learn more about the mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and a St. Jude patient family speaker who will share why the community’s support means so much to families like theirs.

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. Its purpose is clear: Finding cures. Saving children.® It is the only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center devoted solely to children. When St. Jude opened in 1962, childhood cancer was considered incurable. Since then, St. Jude has helped push the overall survival rate from 20% to more than 80%, and it won’t stop until no child dies from cancer. St. Jude shares the breakthroughs it makes to help doctors and researchers at local hospitals and cancer centers around the world improve the quality of treatment and care for even more children. Because of generous donors, families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food, so they can focus on helping their child live.
