SARASOTA, Fla. — The Pickleball Club, the leading developer and operator of private, membership-based high-amenity indoor pickleball facilities throughout Florida, recently launched The Pickleball Club Academy, which is offering a summer camp and free kids’ clinics.
Open to the public, The Pickleball Club Academy summer camp program is available to children in sixth to eighth grade and cost $180 per child. The sessions will take place July 10 – 13 and July 24 – 27 from 8:30 a.m. to noon and are led by Cliff and Johnathan Aiken. During the sessions, campers will learn the rules of pickleball, coordination and pickleball skills in a fun and energetic environment. Enrollment is open to the public, and a membership at The Pickleball Club is not required.
A free kids’ clinic will take place on Saturday, July 8 from 3 to 4:30 p.m. for children ages eight to 13. Offered the second Saturday of every month, the clinics are designed as a prerequisite for the camp and to give younger students an understanding of the rules and basic mechanics of pickleball, including gameplay, scoring, strategy and etiquette on the court.
Registration is required because space is limited. To register for either program, call the concierge team at 941-271-4444 or email lwrinfo@thepickleballclub.com.
