Sarasota, Florida – August marks the 50th anniversary of Hip-Hop music and culture in the United States. To kick off the Summer and celebrate this upcoming milestone, Hip-Hop musician Ryanito has created the Paraiso/Paradise EP project, a fusion of soccer, community, and diversity through various music genres including Hip-Hop. This project aims to embody the spirit of Sarasota and its deep appreciation for the arts.
Originally envisioned as a theme song for the new USL 2 soccer team, the song evolved into a multifaceted project with several versions, including English, Spanish, orchestra, marching band, and house music renditions. Ryanito wanted to capture the musical landscape of Sarasota, which encompasses multiple generations and defies categorization.
The Paraiso/Paradise EP project reflects its diversity and versatility through collaboration with various artists. For the marching band version of the song, Ryanito reached out to band director Tamara Lewis and collaborated with the Riverview High School Kiltie Band, exemplifying the artist’s commitment to engaging the local community and youth in the creative process. This collaboration underscores the powerful connection between music, sports, and the community.
In addition to local collaborations, the project received contributions from international producers worldwide. The original studio versions were created by Mateo Merola from Uruguay, while Karl Roque from the Philippines produced the house music version. Accomplished composer Nathaniel Wolkstein produced and performed the orchestra versions of each song. The EP also features artist contributions from Mexico, Italy, Spain, Argentina and Venezuela, symbolizing the global influence of soccer and its impact on music, art, and creativity. Ryanito’s decision to involve both local and international musicians stems from his personal background as a second-generation immigrant, with his father from Uruguay and of Basque descent from Spain.
The project marks the beginning of an exciting journey for the new Sarasota Paradise soccer team and their fans, while demonstrating how music and sports can bring, local and global communities together to make an impact.
Listen to the Paraiso/Paradise EP by Ryanito available for streaming and download on all digital music platforms. The Sarasota Paradise team encourages fans from Sarasota and the surrounding areas to join the team for their first home game at Sarasota High School on June 24th at 7:30 pm.
