TAMPA, FL – On June 13th, Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) Tampa Bay brought together an elite group of experts to discuss the financial forecast of both Florida and the greater U.S. at its 14th Annual Economic Summit. Dr. Anirban Basu, renowned economist and Sage Policy Group, Inc. Chairman and CEO, returned as the event’s Keynote Speaker. He was joined by a panel of area leaders that included Jane Castor, Mayor of Tampa; Kenneth Welch, Mayor of St. Petersburg; and Brian Aungst, Sr., Mayor of Clearwater, who held a lively discussion moderated by WFLA TV anchor Stacie Schaible.
Fulfilling its promise as one of the industry’s most anticipated events, the Economic Summit once again attracted a large and receptive audience, with over 540 people attending the event. In his keynote speech, Dr. Basu shared that the Tampa Bay region is outpacing most U.S. cities in both economic growth and inflation through the use of a highly entertaining, Tom Cruise-themed presentation. The panel of Mayors discussed the future projects within their respective cities, and the importance of Tampa Bay working together, collaborating together, and celebrating together.
Thank you to Stearns Weaver Miller (with members Elise Batsel, Susan Bennett, Aubrey Burris, Samantha Decker, and Nicole Neugebauer) for returning as our Prestige Sponsor for this event.
