Tampa, FL (June 13, 2023) – The Jackson in Action 83 Foundation has announced they are now accepting applications for their 10th Annual Military Moms Baby Shower. Since the program’s inception in 2013, the foundation has distributed more than $729,000 worth of baby goods and services to hundreds of military families in the Tampa Bay area.
“As a mother of four children, I know how exciting and also how stressful it can be preparing for a newborn,” said Lindsey Jackson, Jackson In Action 83 Foundation co-founder. “I’m so proud of the support we have been able to provide to so many young, growing military families in order to equip them with information, baby care and safety products, and a support system that includes other local military families. We have many amazing sponsors and partners who have supported us every year and have allowed us to provide families with everything they need to welcome their baby. I look forward to continuing this event for many years to come!”
Now through August 18, applications will be accepted from active duty and reserve personnel E6 and below who are stationed in the Tampa Bay area. As the event can only accommodate 40 military moms, guests who have previously attended the shower are not eligible to reapply. Those selected to attend the shower will receive an invitation no later than September 1. The shower will take place in Tampa on Saturday, Sept. 30.
