Eckerd College Grad to Open LivWell Pet Care in St. Pete
“Area to welcome a new affordable veterinary option for pet wellness care”
“It has always been my dream since childhood to open my own veterinary practice.” Said Olivia Fraser DVM, “my love for animals has always been a part of my existence. To me, controlling the pet population by spaying and neutering is vital to healthy, robust well cared for furbabies and family members”
The 2013 Eckerd graduate fell in love with the area, but left St. Pete to train at the nationally ranked Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine(TUCVM), the only Historically Black College (HBCU) to feature a Veterinary program. “The training I received at TU, gave me an incredible perspective on integrating our animal life with our human life and the importance of a healthy pet population. my goal is to bring that same culture to my practice”
As the boom in the pet population occurs, so does the need for local and national veterinarians. Many families during covid discovered the pleasure of integrating a pet into the family. Unfortunately, this has also created a dearth of pet wellness facilities and veterinary hospitals. Dr. Fraser hopes to provide a local connection to the amazing pet population of St. Pete and Tampa Bay. The clinic will initially open Monday, Wednesday and Friday for the month of June from 8am-4pm and then open fully in July.
“My attentive staff and I would love to welcome your furbabies and provide affordable wellness care for them. I will bring to you the value of preventative care that will lead to a long and healthy life. My goal is for your pet to LivWell.”
