The Watermark at Trinity, a senior living community in Pasco County offering independent living, assisted living and memory care, hosted a Spring Awakening party on April 27 to celebrate the season and enjoy the weather in its memory care courtyard.
The party featured live music, mimosas, and food from the community’s Gourmet Bites menu, an inclusive dining experience for individuals living with cognitive, neuromuscular, or physical challenges. Attendees also had the opportunity to participate in a butterfly release with Gulfside Healthcare Services dedicated to the remembrance of their loved ones.
“Having a loved one with Alzheimer’s or dementia can feel like a heavy burden to carry at times,” said Jennifer Baum, sales director at The Watermark at Trinity. “Our Spring Awakening Party provided an opportunity for our local community to see just how peaceful life can be at our community and highlighted some of the wonderful offerings at our community that help our memory care residents thrive.”
Gourmet Bites Cuisine is unique to Watermark Retirement Communities, which manages The Watermark at Trinity. It takes regular menu items – such as beef stroganoff and Cobb salad – and transforms them into bite-sized hors d’oeuvres intended to be eaten by hand.
