This past week the Military Officers Association of Sarasota awarded seventeen students $2,500 MOAS scholarships . Mayor Kyle Battie of Sarasota spoke to the recipients about moving forward and giving back. We congratulate this years awardees. Paxton Barrick, Natalie Kisgen, Zoe Storm, & Brayden Wittenbauer will be attending the University of Florida; Celeste Beaton, Rylan Kriska, David O’Grady, Kara Marceus, & Jennifer Walcker will attend the University of South Florida; and Faith Henry & Aubrey Hunter are off to the University of Central Florida. The following recipients will be attending the indicated schools: Madisyn Crites (Florida Gulf Coast Univ.), Leah DuBose (Florida A&M Univ.), Skye van Gennip (Embry-Riddle Aeronautical Univ.), Akiel Reyes Melendez (Rollins College), Elias Paver (The Citadel), and Joshua Sullivan (State College of Florida). We wish them all the best in their future endeavors, and look forward to hearing of their future success.
