WHAT: Students, most of who reside at Metropolitan Ministries, will perform their end-of-year showcase

DETAILS: Sullivan Partnership School students in grades Kindergarten through five, most of who reside at Metropolitan Ministries, will dazzle the audience with dance skills they’ve learned throughout the school year from Patel Conservatory Dance Instructor Hannah Box.
As part of the Straz Center’s art education efforts and partnership with Sullivan Partnership School, students receive 35 weeks of dance instruction throughout the school year, at no cost, from Patel Conservatory teachers. The Straz Center also has provided costumes and ballet shoes.
Students will perform dances inspired by the Jacqueline Woodson children’s book, “The Year We Learned to Fly,” which explores themes about emotions and freedom.
Chick-Fil-A will provide lunch to students and staff prior to the performance.
