One of St. Petersburg’s foremost artists and community leaders, Luci Westphal, a visual non-fiction storyteller, writer and social artist, unveils her first solo exhibition in St. Petersburg. Urban Wood is an exhibition of photographic work featuring urban landscape photography transfer to reclaimed wood, and other materials. Luci’s work was last seen at Creative Grape in 2022 as part of the highly successful show 3 from Kenwood where Luci’s juxtaposition of colorful nature and gritty urban landscape work was a standout.
Luci is originally from Germany and now makes St. Petersburg her home, where among her many accomplishments, she is the Chair of the Artists Enclave of Histroic Kenwood. Luci has become an integral part of the urban village that Kenwood has come to exemplify. She also helps young aspiring artists develop their talent at John Hopkins Middle School, Center for Arts, Journalism and Gifted Studies, where Luci is an adjunct instructor.
