SARASOTA, Fla. (May 10, 2023) – The Central West Coast chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association (CWC-FPRA) will present the professional development event, “Communications and the Human Experience,” on Wednesday, May 17, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. The event – which is open to members and guests – takes place at the Lee Wetherington Boys & Girls Club (3130 Fruitville Rd., Sarasota).
The program will feature Rogelio (Roger) Capote, who has over 16 years of experience in award-winning nonprofit experiential marketing, community engagement, operational oversight, and business development. He is the senior vice president of marketing & community relations and chief communications officer (CCO) at CAN Community Health (CAN), a nonprofit healthcare organization providing specialized medical care to communities regardless of their ability to pay. Capote will discuss strategies to identify ways people can connect personal experiences to internal and external messaging/communications.
“Roger served as a panelist for one of our previous professional development events and he really stood out as someone we wanted to hear more from,” says Sheryl Vieira, president of CWC-FPRA. “Roger isn’t just an experienced practitioner – he is also a valued member of our association. We are looking forward to welcoming him to our May program!”
