WINTER PARK — Florida Business Leader John Crossman CCIM will host Tim Becker CCIM, Executive Director of the University of Florida’s Bergstrom Real Estate Center on the next Crossman Conversation CEO Edition Saturday, May 6 at 10:05 a.m. across The Shepherd Network.
Crossman has worked with Becker through their memberships in the CCIM Institute, (Certified Commercial Investment Member) the ICSC (International Council of Shopping Centers) ULI (Urban Land Institute) and, more recently, when Crossman Career Builders endowed the Bergstrom-Crossman Real Estate Scholarship to support HBCU students qualified for the Nathan S. Collier Master of Science in Real Estate program at UF.
Prior to Becker’s current role, he was the Director of Commercial Development for Bonita Bay Group, a large-scale master planned community in southwest Florida. Before he made his move into real estate, Tim was a reactor engineer at a nuclear power station in Louisiana. He earned his BS in Nuclear Engineering at UF, an MBA in Finance at Florida Gulf Coast University and recently completed studies at UF for his Doctorate in Business Administration.
Concurrent with his duties as Executive Director of the center, Becker teaches in the Nathan S. Collier MSRE program and is an active supporter of diversity in the real estate industry.
