DETAILS:     Come hear your favorite jazz standards, along with the classical roots that inspired them, performed by Patel Conservatory students. In addition to our Vocal Arts Choirs and Chamber Ensembles, this year will also feature the Straz Jazz Project, a big band made up of students from four area high schools. The concert will conclude with Patel Conservatory choral and instrumental students combining to perform William Grant Still’s moving work, “A Psalm for the Living.”

                        The Straz Jazz Project is produced in collaboration with the Straz Center’s Community Engagement Department.

                        Spring Music Spectacular: “And All That Jazz” will be performed Tuesday, May 9 at 7 p.m. Regularly priced tickets begin at $23.75. Tickets can be purchased by calling 813.229.STAR (7827) or 800.955.1045 outside Tampa Bay, in person at the Straz Center Ticket Sales Office or online at www.strazcenter.org. Handling fees will apply.
