HUDSON, Fla (May 02, 2023) – HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital has promoted Marcus Smith to Vice President of Operations where he will ensure the development and implementation of effective operations systems to meet current and future needs at the 320-bed acute care hospital.
Now in his fifth year at HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital, Smith has served as its Manager of Facilities, Director of Facilities Management, and most recently as Assistant Administrator.
Earlier this year, the hospital was recognized by Healthgrades as a 2023 Patient Safety Excellence Award™ recipient, a distinction which places it among the top 10% of the nation’s short-term acute care hospitals.
HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital also is the recipient of 2023 Healthgrades awards for America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Orthopedic Surgery, America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Spine Surgery, and America’s 50 Best Hospitals for Vascular Surgery. Other accolades include Healthgrades Excellence Awards for Gastrointestinal Surgery and Surgical Care.
