Lakewood Ranch, Florida – May 2, 2023 – The Lakewood Ranch community is gearing up for the annual Tribute to Heroes Parade, set to take place on Sunday, May 28, 2023, from 6 to 8 p.m. at 8130 Lakewood Main Street. Organized by Lakewood Ranch Community Activities, this year’s event promises to be a spectacular display of patriotism and appreciation for local veterans, active-duty and fallen heroes. Proceeds will benefit VFW Post 12055 and Del Webb Lakewood Ranch Association of Veterans and Military Supporters.
“We are thrilled to bring the Tribute to Heroes Parade once again to Lakewood Ranch,” said Joanna Bailey, the new director of events and partnerships. “This is a great opportunity for us to come together and honor those who serve and have served our country. We hope to see everyone out on Lakewood Main Street showing their support.”
The Tribute to Heroes Parade has become a beloved tradition in Lakewood Ranch, with more than two thousand attendees expected to show support for the country’s brave men and women.
This year’s parade event will feature three stage performances before the parade, starting at 6 p.m., by the Lakewood Ranch Wind Ensemble, the Aloha Ukulele group, and Blue Skye Pipe & Drum Band. The parade will begin at 7 p.m. with colorful floats and participants from local businesses and organizations. Both the Anna Maria Island Privateers and the Hernando De Soto Historical Society will be there with their large ships! Major sponsors include Tommy’s Express Car Wash and Bob Boast Volkswagen.
