School Brings Game for Financial Literacy to Campus During National Financial Capability Month
WHO:
The University of Tampa is partnering with Venture Valley, a FREE fast-paced multiplayer business simulation game from The Singleton Foundation for Financial Literacy and Entrepreneurship, for a high-stakes video game tournament! The Venture Valley Collegiate Cup is also being hosted in partnership with the Collegiate Entrepreneurs’ Organization, headquartered at UT, which is the largest network of college students actively launching new ventures.
WHAT:
It will be fast-action and fast cash as students take on the highs and lows of being an entrepreneur and put their business skills to the test against each otherwhile comparing strategies to get them to the top of the leaderboard. Students can win up to $6000 in cash giveaways and prizes.
In Venture Valley players learn real financial and business skills as they grow their business from one small pet-walking enterprise to multiple businesses, including a drone factory, a dating app development firm, a robot manufacturer, and many more. Playing against others provides a fun outlet to compete with friends in positive ways while practicing financial skills and business concepts.
Interviews will be available with the Venture Valley Team, University of Tampa staff, and students participating in the tournament.
