HUDSON, Fla (April 5, 2023) – HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital has named veteran healthcare executive Austin Brown as its new chief operating officer where he will develop strategic relationships with the hospital’s physician partners and key stakeholders while enhancing its operational efficiencies.
Brown has served in executive leadership positions at several Florida acute care hospitals, most recently as vice president of operations at HCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital, a 350-bed acute care teaching facility in Brooksville. In this position, he launched and expanded service lines and provided oversight of major capital improvement projects.
Prior to that, Brown served as chief operating officer at Bayfront Health St. Petersburg where he was responsible for physician specialty recruitment and led the design and renovation of a cardiology specialty medical office, among other accomplishments.
He also served as chief operating officer at Seven Rivers Regional Medical Center in Crystal River.
