UT’s Lowth Entrepreneurship Center to Host 2023 New Venture Exposition

March 30, 2023 by Post

TAMPA – On Friday, April 14, The University of Tampa’s Lowth Entrepreneurship Center will showcase more than 40 of its student and community-run startup business concepts at the 2023 New Venture Exposition. The exposition will be held from 8 a.m. to noon in the Lowth Entrepreneurship Center, which is located on the eighth floor of the Daly Innovation and Collaboration Building. The event is free and open to the public.

Graduate students in UT’s M.S. in Entrepreneurship program, as well as senior undergraduate students majoring in entrepreneurship, will present business concepts in development since the start of the 2022-2023 academic year. They will compete alongside Spartan Incubator and Accelerator program participants, many of whom have committed hundreds of hours to their ventures.

Cash prizes will be awarded up to third place in two categories: entrepreneurship students (graduate and undergraduate) and Accelerator/Incubator participants. Winners will be selected by a panel of UT alumni judges.

The John P. Lowth Entrepreneurship Center is part of the University’s Sykes College of Business. The New Venture Expo educates students and the community about opportunities within the Lowth Center and enhances students’ ability to achieve their professional goals. It also provides employers access to qualified candidates to meet their recruitment needs.

For more information, contact the Lowth Entrepreneurship Center at ecenter@ut.edu or (813) 257-3702.

The University of Tampa is a private, comprehensive university located on 110 acres on the riverfront in downtown Tampa.
