WINTER PARK — Sarah Garcia, the Marketing and Business Development Manager at AdventHealth Hospice Care Central Florida, will join John Crossman Saturday, April 1 on The Crossman Conversation, which airs at 1:05 p.m. on Shepherd Radio.
The Ohio State graduate has worked in the healthcare industry for more than 20 years but for the past 10 years her focus has been hospice care. AdventHealth Hospice Care Central Florida is a community based non-profit hospice established in 1990 and serving Orange, Seminole and Osceola Counties.
Garcia wants to share her passion for helping the community understand the importance of advanced care planning and accessing hospice care. More specifically, every adult should plan and make their own wishes known for when they are not able to communicate medical decisions for themselves due to an emergency or end-of-life.
“The timing of this conversation is perfect,” says Garcia, “April 16 is National Healthcare Decision Day.”
“This is one of those tough conversation we need to have but Sarah is going to make it sound easier and explain the documents needed to provide peace of mind for ourselves and family,” Crossman said.
The Shepherd Radio is available on three stations, each part of the MARC Radio group. 1270 AM – WIWA in Orlando which covers the entire Central Florida area. In the Ocala/Villages area, The Shepherd is heard on 103.5 FM and 720 AM, while Gainesville listeners can hear the broadcast on 96.3 FM or 1430 AM.
