WINTER PARK – Richard Yount, the Senior Development Officer at Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida (BGCCF), joins The Crossman Conversation airing this Saturday March 18 at 1:05 p.m.
Yount along with BGCCF’s Vice President of Marketing & Community Relations Betsy Owens will share how they work to build a network of partners to support the life-changing impact the non-profit organization creates in the Orlando area.
Boys & Girls Clubs has the annual task of raising over $16 million to support the cost to serve more than 11,000 underserved youth who attend 40 Central Florida Club locations.
Yount, who was a Service Director at the Clubs before becoming a fundraiser, said the opportunity to help at risk youth make good choices and reach their full potential as productive, caring citizens was powerful, and inspired his eagerness to speak on behalf of Boys & Girls Clubs and find new people willing to invest in the lives of children and the future of Central Florida.
Central Florida business leader John Crossman’s talk show provides a platform for widely accomplished activists like Yount to share how they conquer today’s challenges. The program is heard on three stations across the Shepherd Radio network, each part of the MARC Radio group. 1270 AM – WIWA in Orlando which covers the entire Central Florida area. In the Ocala/Villages area, The Shepherd is heard on 103.5 FM and 720 AM, while Gainesville listeners can hear the broadcast on 96.3 FM or 1430 AM.
