SARASOTA, Fla. (March 13, 2023) – The REALTOR® Association of Sarasota and Manatee (RASM) established a formal partnership with both the Women’s Council of REALTORS® Sarasota and the Women’s Council of REALTORS® Manatee County through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with each organization on March 9, 2023. The MoU provides business-building and mutually beneficial relationships for their respective members.
With a 2023 goal to foster inclusivity through the diversity of RASM’s 9,000 members, this partnership between each Women’s Council Network was designed to create more opportunity for all Realtors® in Sarasota and Manatee counties.
“A strategic priority of RASM has been to partner with other organizations that focus on and support housing-related needs and homeowner’s property rights,” said 2023 RASM President Brian Tresidder. “Creating an official partnership with both of these two amazing councils was long overdue, and we are excited to work together going forward to help improve all of our organizations and our communities.”
According to the MoU, RASM and both Women’s Council Networks will use this partnership to “affirm the value of collaboration and agree to endeavor to exchange information in the general field of real estate, promote professionalism in the real estate industry, and provide benefits to the parties’ members.” The same partnership was formed with each of the local networks, signed by their respective 2023 council presidents.
“This is a partnership that just makes sense,” said Meagan West, 2023 President of the Women’s Council of REALTORS® Sarasota. “We are most excited about creating synergy between our organizations and helping our REALTOR® members maximize their success and take advantage of the resources offered to them. Together, everyone achieves more!”
“Women’s Council of Realtors® Manatee is thankful and excited to be working closely with RASM,” added Rachel McCoy, 2023 President of the Women’s Council of REALTORS® Manatee County. “I believe this will allow us to leverage each other’s strengths and resources and will create new opportunities for professional growth and agent education. This mutually beneficial agreement is a huge step in the right direction for our profession and we look forward to a successful partnership in the years to come.”
As part of Women’s History Month, the signing of the agreement took place on March 9, 2023 at the REALTOR® Association of Sarasota and Manatee. At the signing, RASM was represented by 2023 RASM President Brian Tresidder, RASM President-Elect Tony Barrett, and RASM CEO Jeffrey Arakelian.
