TAMPA, FL – CareerSource Tampa Bay (CSTB) is excited to announce that through our continued partnership with Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC), the ACE Program has launched two new tracks for candidates to participate in March 2023.
• Accredited Claims Adjuster / Registered Customer Service Representative
• Green Construction
The Accredited Claims Adjuster Course / Registered Customer Service Representative will exempt students from the state exam for the 6-20 All Lines Adjuster License. The Florida Department of Financial Services approves this course in Financial Services for those who wish to obtain the State of Florida 6-20 (Company & Independent) All Lines Adjuster License.
The Green Construction Track prepares students to understand the concepts surrounding Construction and industry standards. A participant can earn the below industry certifications:
• OSHA 10 Certification
• Forklift Operation Certification
• NCCER Core Curriculum
Cohorts start dates:
• Green Construction will begin on March 20, 2023
• Accredited Claims Adjuster Course will start on March 30, 2023
• ACE is also offering the Cyber Security cohort, which will start on March 29, 2023
Young adults ages 18 to 29 interested in enrolling or learning more can attend an ACE information session or complete a pre-screen survey at www.CareerSourceTB.com/ACE.
Information Sessions are hosted weekly at the CSTB Tampa Center at 9215 N. Florida Ave. Tampa, FL 33612 on:
• Tuesdays at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
• Thursdays at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
“Local employers are seeking accredited claims adjusters and entry-level construction personnel to assist them with claims evaluation, investigation, negotiation, customer service and forklift operation, safety protocol, and basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing and carpentry,” says April Torregiante, CSTB VP of Policy and Programs. “There is a need to fill these types of positions in the community, and salaries range from $18.00 to $31.00 per hour”.

About ACE Program
During the 8-10-week ACE training, participants will receive two (2) days of free occupational skills training through a local training provider or training program and three (3) days of worksite or hands-on training with a local employer. Participants will earn as they learn and be paid $15 per hour, with a maximum of 24 hours per week while at their worksite. Training will yield an industry-recognized certification and meaningful paid work experience.
The ACE Program connects young adults in Hillsborough County with resources to build a career ladder with future, self-sustaining wages, employment security, and the training to succeed in industries such as Manufacturing, Information Technology, Financial Services, and Hospitality.
ACE is designed to empower young adults to take control of their futures by allowing them to learn industry-specific skills and credentials while earning income and real-world work experience. This opportunity will provide a career pathway trajectory that will accelerate their future earning potential and growth in their selected career.
