The annual Women of Distinction Luncheon is almost here.
It’s a yearly popular community event organized by the Girl Scouts of West Central Florida. Now in its 30th year, this awards luncheon will celebrate extraordinary women. Each of them truly exemplify the Girl Scout Promise and Law as business, community and philanthropic leaders. This year’s nominees are Rhea Law, Mallory Dimmitt, Kathalin Carvalho, Trimeka Benjamin, Veronica Cintron and Hall of Fame Inductee, Dr. Sylvia Campbell. Each of these honorees are role models for Girl Scouts and all women because they use their courage, confidence and character to make the world a better place.
Something new this year is an energy packed Executive Forum focused on fueling the next generation of women leaders. This includes an interactive panel discussion featuring keynote speaker Telva McGruder and the honorees. McGruder is the Chief Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer at General Motors. There is limited seating for this event that takes place before the luncheon.
This event draws hundreds of attendees each year. The main event kicks off at noon at Armature Works.
