The Hillsborough Community College (HCC) Dance Department will present its annual Student Choreography Showcase on March 9 and 10 at 7:30 p.m. at the HCC Dance Studio.
The showcase is fully produced by students enrolled in the dance composition course taught by the College’s dance program. This year’s event will feature choreography by Thalia Cortes, Miranda Espinosa, Catherine Hoskins, Mya Ludwig, Sydney May, Dioscar Montesino, Dior Wilson and more.
The performance serves the dual purpose of giving students the experience of realizing their works in a professional production while introducing student dancers and choreographers to the Tampa dance community. Each choreographer is tasked with creating a three to five-minute concept-based dance piece utilizing choreographic tools taught in the course.
Performances are in person with limited seating. General admission tickets are $10. HCC students, faculty and staff receive free admission with I.D.
