WINTER PARK — Danny Wuerffel, Executive Director of Desire Street Ministries, former NFL quarterback and one of the most decorated University of Florida quarterbacks including the Heisman Trophy, will join Central Florida Business Leader John Crossman Saturday, March 4 at 1:05 p.m. on The Crossman Conversation.
Crossman has been a good friend for more than a decade since Wuerffel first recruited him on various fundraisers and programs for Desire Street Ministries. The organization revitalizes impoverished neighborhoods throughout the Southeast by hands-on spiritual and community development. Connecting with local urban community leaders nationwide is one of the ways the non-profit, which Wuerffel now heads, achieves its transformations.
Wuerffel, who embodies leadership, giving back and spirituality, joined Desire Street in 2004 upon retiring from the NFL. He has leveraged those qualities along with his education, success and talent to make a difference in the community.
Tune in Saturday and hear Crossman and Wuerffel talk about the successes of Desire Street, Faith and football which, by the way, is the title of one of the books Wuerffel has authored.
