Trashy Treasures Keeps Expanded Format for More Treasure Hunting Opportunities

Dunedin Fine Art Center

This WILL be the BIGGEST Trashy Treasures EVER at The Dunedin Fine Art Center!

After years of toying with additions to the immensely popular TRASHY TREASURES, DFAC’s venerable Art Garage Sale, The Dunedin Fine Art Center continues to adhere to the foundation of what has become a uniquely fringe arts festival. “We’re sticking with our roots” noted Ken Hannon DFAC’s Vice-President. “We’re even going to be serving hot dogs on Saturday night, ” he said.

Every year, this sale grows and grows. If the early signs are any indication, this WILL be the BIGGEST Trashy Treasures ever according to George Ann Bissett, DFAC  President. “The donations have been incredible so far. People’s generosity is truly astounding. We actually had to have several POP-UP Sales this winter AND we have offsite and onsite storage facilities that are chock full of goodies.” she noted.

This Growth has required a little restructuring on DFAC’s part.  In addition to the familiar format of a BIG BEST OF TRASHIES pARTy on Saturday this year, and the massive Garage Sale on Sunday, this year will see two weeks of online auction, featuring some of the choicest pieces leading up to the big sale weekend.

For those unfamiliar with Trashy Treasures, the Bay area’s most loved art garage sale, it’s just that. People donate artworks that they’ve perhaps grown tired of, and art supplies they no longer need to DFAC. The Dunedin Fine Art Center then offers a select group for sale by silent auction for two weeks starting on March 1st and continuing through the BEST Of TRASHIES pARTy on Saturday, March 18th from 6 – 8 pm. DFAC then prices the rest of it to sell on a first-come-first-served garage sale basis on Sunday, March9th from 10 am – 4pm.  It’s great fun and needless to say, some INCREDIBLE values can be had.

This is a great opportunity for art lovers to start a collection, or add to an existing one. The prices are UNBEATABLE! Artists will, of course, be interested in Sunday’s Garage Sale too, where ALL of the art supplies (frames, canvases, paints, beads, you name it) will be featured.

Art Garage Sale Hours

The online Auction starts at NOON on March 1st, with the items closing out on Sunday night March 12th and a whole new Auction starting Monday March 13th at NOON and ending during the “BEST Of” PArty on Saturday night March 18th. The event runs for just one evening and one day March 18, and 19, 2023. Saturday night the 18th promises to be another legendary DFAC party starting at 6:00 pm, with the BEST art, cash bars, LIVE music. and of course that delicious FREE hot dog and a FREE Drink!

Admission to the Friday night March 18th party is $10 while the sale will be open FREE to the public, Sunday, March 19th  from 10 am – 4 pm.

All at the Dunedin Fine Art Center – 1143 Michigan Blvd. – Dunedin, FL – 727.298.DFAC more info at www.dfac.org
