ReIMAGINE Exhibition In an effort to spark meaningful dialog though the lens of art, this Black History Month, the Warehouse Arts District Association (WADA) hosts a collaborative show, ReIMAGINE, by The Well for Life, The Green Book of Tampa Bay, and Artists Change the World. This exhibition features Black contemporary artists who have been impacted by the criminal justice system. Participating artists include Alfred Cleveland, Catherine E. Weaver, Anthony Williams, Christopher Williams, F. Axom, Jabaar Edmonds, and David Lee Watson. ReIMAGINE celebrates artists who would not otherwise have a platform in art galleries due to the long-term impact of the justice system on their lives post-reintroduction; it creates a dialog around our collective responsibility in supporting these creative entrepreneurs. ReIMAGINE elevates the message that the artists’ grit, determination, return to the ‘full well of art,‘ and creativity as a tool for radical self-care and survival, serves as a model for us all. Important dates at the ArtsXchange Campus: Feb.11, 5 – 9pm: Opening Reception – During the Second Saturday Art Walk, stop by the Tully-Levin Gallery to see the exhibit and meet some of the artists!Feb. 22, 6:30 – 8pm: Visiting Artist Series – Join us for a ReIMAGINE panel discussion in Tully-Levine Gallery featuring some of the exhibiting artists, community advocates, and family members that have been impacted by the criminal legal system. The exhibit is shown at the Tully-Levine Gallery at the ArtsXchange Plaza located on the historic Deuces corridor, 515 22nd Street South.
