WINTER PARK – Former U.S. Senator for Florida George LeMieux will join Central Florida Business Leader John Crossman Saturday, Feb. 4 on The Crossman Conversation, his weekly radio show which airs at 1:05 p.m. on the Shepherd radio network.
Crossman collaborates with other activists – business, religious and political leaders, like LeMieux – in an effort to help communities confront and solve issues and challenges.
Senator LeMieux is chairman of the Florida-based law firm of Gunster, Yoakley & Stewart. He focuses his legal practice on resolving business and governmental disputes and he is a trusted advisor to CEOs and C-suite executives of significant businesses – including Fortune 500 companies – on business, law and government.
At Palm Beach Atlantic University, he and the university’s president created the LeMieux Center for Public Policy providing upper classmen with opportunities to engage with notable leaders on issues important to Florida, the U.S. and the world.
As U.S. Senator, LeMieux was recognized for his record on pro-business and tax reform. He has received several awards including a 93 percent rating from the National Taxpayer Union and the “Spirit of Enterprise” award from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. He also served as Florida’s Deputy Attorney General where he supervised more than 400 lawyers and a total staff of 1,300.
“We’re excited to have Senator LeMieux on the show. Tune in to hear about the strides he continues to make to help businesses along with the many organizations that he serves,” said Crossman.
