ST. PETE BEACH, FL – Speakers for the Tampa Bay Beaches Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner have been announced! To follow this year’s theme Rising to Resilience, these speakers will discuss how the Tampa Bay Beaches can create more resilient communities and businesses from both a county and state perspective.
Speakers include:
Cathie Perkins, Director of Pinellas County Emergency Management. Cathie has 30 years of disaster experience. Starting after Hurricane Andrew, Ms. Perkins started working in the hardest hit areas of Miami-Dade county and was officially introduced to Miami-Dade Emergency Management when she was assigned to work on a sheltering program for the community’s most vulnerable populations.
Diane Quingley, AICP, Senior Project Manager for Stanic. Diane brings 33 years of experience in local, state and private sector planning. She specializes in strategic planning, policy development, program management and grant administration, as well as environmental, land use and transportation planning. She previously served the state of Florida as an Environmental Program Manager, Intergovernmental Programs Manager, and administrator for the Florida Department of Transportation. During that time, she focused on program management, transportation policy, and the mitigation of environmental and community impacts associated with transportation systems.
The dinner will be held on Wednesday, February 8th at the Tradewinds Island Grand Resort (5500 Gulf Boulevard, St. Pete Beach). Check-in begins at 5:00 PM, followed by the 6:00 PM Program & Dinner.
