In an effort to provide more access to parents, The Early Learning Coalition of Pinellas County (ELC Pinellas) plans to host in-person, walk-in Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) registration events throughout Pinellas County on January 20, and January 25 from 8am-4:30pm. The registration event will allow parents to register their children to participate in Florida’s Free VPK current or upcoming program year.
“We are proud to help families find the tools to support their child’s development because we understand how important Florida’s Free VPK is for preparing children for the future and beyond,” said Lindsay Carson, chief executive officer of ELC Pinellas.
VPK is a free program for 4-year-olds whose families reside in Florida. The program helps build a strong foundation for school using educational materials appropriate for different stages in your child’s development and preparing them for kindergarten and beyond. Families can decide where their child learns with hundreds of public, private, and faith-based schools and centers in Pinellas County.
Families interested in participating in our in-person VPK registration event must have the following items: E-mail Address, proof of Florida residency such as a Florida driver’s license or utility bill and/or current signed lease, and proof of child’s age including a birth certificate, passport or current immunization record.
