DETAILS: Roxx Revolt & The Velvets invade the Riverwalk Stage for a raucous evening in celebration of Gasparilla. The four-piece band, formed in Naples, Fla., in 2018, flaunts a glamorously eclectic style of power-driven rock and roll that has made them a staple of the Florida music scene. Following the release of their debut EP 7 in 2021, they’ve made notable appearances at the Gasparilla Music Festival, Black Market Fest Miami and as an opener for Puddle of Mudd.
Critically acclaimed artist Julie Black performs creative, original, no-compromise music. A kindred spirit of free and fiery souls, she’s a songwriter whose personal story is deep, complex and inspiring. Her soulful voice, intuitive approach and scorching emotional intensity conjure up live performances that are passionate and profound. The deeply rooted influences of Solomon Burke and Etta James flavor her sound, as do elements of blues, jazz, soul, swing and rock.
Fourth Friday performances on the Riverwalk Stage are free and open to the public. Guests can enjoy drink specials at the Straz Center’s Riverwalk bar, SIP.
