Jody Goldman, of Palmetto, is a winner in this year’s worldwide art contest focused on the plight of endangered species and their habitats. The Endangered Fine Art & Photography Contest is a global, juried art exhibition that raised nearly $10,000 to be donated to the Center for Great Apes. The challenge of the contest was to focus on the celebration of the beauty of the endangered species and their habitats or to illustrate the threats facing them.
The 2022-2023 exhibition featured 538 artists from all over the world, and Goldman won third place. As a result of this award, Jody’s painting was also featured on the Center for Great Apes and the Wisconsin National Primate Research Center websites. This original artwork, and other wildlife paintings, can be viewed at the Island Gallery West on Anna Maria Island and Artistjodygoldman.com.
