SARASOTA, FL – January 12, 2023 – The Junior League of Sarasota will host its 20th annual Legacy Luncheon on February 2, 2023, at Michael’s on East. Since 2003, Legacy Luncheon has served as the signature fundraiser for the Junior League of Sarasota’s Endowment Fund, raising over $1 million to date. The League is excited to welcome television host, author, and chef, Georgia Pellegrini as the guest speaker.
A former investment banker turned chef, Pellegrini teaches others how to apply pioneering principles anywhere, from the field to the board room. A French Culinary Institute-trained chef, she has written three books including Food Heroes, Girl Hunter, and Modern Pioneering.
Pellegrini has been featured on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Iron Chef America, The Today Show, HBO’s Real Sports, and NPR as well as a featured writer for The Wall Street Journal. She is the host of the PBS TV show Modern Pioneering and leads adventure getaways that attract people from around the globe.
Guests of the luncheon will enjoy an hour-long champagne reception at 11 a.m. in the atrium prior to the event in the main ballroom from 12 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Support for Legacy Luncheon allows the Junior League of Sarasota to continue to make a difference despite any economic hardships facing our community. In 2022, the League was fortunate to award $42,000 in community grants to numerous local nonprofits thanks in part to the support of our endowment fund.
Legacy Luncheon reservations can be made at https://www.jlsarasota.org/events/20th-anniversary-legacy-luncheon/ or by calling (941) 953-5600.
