The Tampa Riverwalk has been nominated by USAToday as one of America’s Best Riverwalks. The newspaper selected Tampa’s 2.6 mile riverwalk along with 19 other riverwalks throughout the United States as part of its annual 10Best Reader’s Choice Travel Awards.
The newspaper noted the Tampa Riverwalk’s outstanding scenery and how it effectively links businesses, parks, and museums while serving as a central location for community activities. Other nominees include Riverwalks in Chicago, Wilmington, N.C., Milwaukee and San Antonio, Canal Walk in Indianapolis, Charles River Esplanade in Boston, and Savannah’s River Street.
Online voting will determine the 10 best riverwalks. To vote, visit https://www.10best.com/awards/travel/best-riverwalk-2023/tampa-riverwalk-tampa-bay-florida/ . Voters can cast their ballot once per day until the poll closes at 12 noon EST on Monday, February 6.
“We’re honored to be nominated alongside several amazing cities,” said Friends of the Riverwalk Executive Director MaryBeth Williams. “The Tampa Riverwalk has so much to offer our residents and visitors and we encourage everyone to vote often!”
The 10Best winners will be announced on Friday, February 17.
