Bradenton, FL – January 11, 2023 – The Ramos Center for Interventional & Functional Pain Medicine welcomes Dr. Abdel Elhoushy to their team of Interventional Pain Physicians. Dr. Elhoushy is the eighth physician to join the comprehensive team at the Ramos Center and brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience. Dr. Elhoushy will be treating Ramos Center patients in their newest location at 6600 University Blvd. in Lakewood Ranch.
Double Board Certified in Pain Medicine and Anesthesiology, Dr. Elhoushy has a diverse and extensive medical background. He completed his internship at Louisiana State University in Shrevesport, followed by a Residency in Anesthesiology at the Cleveland Clinic. Additionally, Dr. Elhoushy completed a Fellowship in cardiac surgery at Brown University in Providence, RI. Dr. Elhoushy is also a Fellow in the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, UK. “We are very excited to serve the community of Lakewood Ranch in this beautiful new, state-of-the-art facility”, said Dr. Fabian Ramos, Founder and Medical Director of the Ramos Center. “Dr. Elhoushy is a great addition to our team of highly trained physicians. He always has the best interest of his patients at heart and the exceptional care he provides will be clear to them the moment they meet him!”
Dr. E., as his patients call him, was inspired to enter the medical profession by his father and uncle who taught him that one person has the ability to positively impact the lives of many. It’s his compassion for those living with chronic pain that inspires Dr. E not to only provide them with highly effective treatment, but also with tools for living a quality life. When asked about this new transition, Dr. Elhoushy said, “After practicing in many locations and training at the prestigious Cleveland Clinic, I have high expectations for the type of team I want to practice with. I found those expectations to be fully executed at the Ramos Center, and it is a great privilege to be a part of an organization that consistently holds itself to the highest standards of care”.
